A quick look at DriveBC highway cameras and you can see there's a good reason why B.C drivers have to keep winter tires on until the end of April.
Conditions on the Coquihalla this morning made visibility tough.
A photo taken at the Elkhart brake check shows limited visibility just before 9 a.m. (April 27) and a Tweet by AIMRoads indicates that they are heading to the Pennask Summit on the Okanagan Connector to deal with snow and slushy conditions.
Environment Canada has not issued any weather advisories at this time but obviously, the rain that fell in the valley fell as snow at higher elevations.
