Vernon has its own "Group of Seven."

Seven co-workers at a local pharmacy won $500,000 after matching all four Extra numbers in the Sept. 25 draw.

Tina Gauvin was nominated team captain of the lotto group, and her co-workers were a little skeptical when she told them the news.

“I am known for playing tricks on my co-workers, so when I told them we won, no one would believe me,” she says.

She was picking up her mother at the airport when she stopped by a self-serve kiosk to check her ticket, and she was in disbelief.

"I thought we had won $50, but then I saw so many zeros," Gauvin says. "I checked it again and asked the retailer if their machine was broken.”

Gauvin says some people want to go on vacation with their winnings, and others want to put a down payment on a home.

"We will probably have a get together for the group too," she adds
