A 22-year-old Prince George pedestrian is suffering serious injuries after Ospika collision

Alcohol is not believed to be a factor

Police are investigating a pedestrian-involved collision that happened at the corner of Ospika Boulevard and Davis Road yesterday afternoon (Nov. 24).

Prince George RCMP received a report of a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian just before 4:30 p.m. and frontline officers attended the scene.

A 22-year-old man was transported to hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

Fortunately, they are not believed to be life-threatening.

Police say the 73-year-old male driver remained on scene and alcohol is not believed to be involved.

A portion of the road was closed to traffic as investigators gathered evidence and the vehicle involved, a Ford SUV, was seized by police and will undergo a mechanical inspection as part of the investigation.

Police say the investigation is continuing and further details may be released as they become available.
