A game that was delayed for 10 days is now set to come to fruition at Masich Place tonight (Sept. 4).
The University of Northern British Columbia's men’s soccer team had been slated to open their regular campaign with a doubleheader on Aug. 24 and 25 against the Victoria Vikings. Unfortunately, poor air quality due to the wildfires was deemed unsafe for players, coaches and fans alike and the games were cancelled.

This evening's game is the first of two games between the two provincial rivals, but only one will be played immediately. Canada West will reschedule the second rematch at a place and time to be determined.
