Prince George can now breathe a sigh of relief when outside, in a matter of speaking.

Environment Canada has officially ended its air quality statement for the city as dust concentration levels have lessened this morning (Feb. 13).

The advisory was lifted as of 9:40 a.m.

While conditions have improved, cold temperatures are continuing with the daily high at -13 C, dropping to -26 C by night.

Residents are encouraged to bundle up if you plan on staying outside for a lengthy period of time.

If you're heading west on Highway 16, the statement is still in effect for Vanderhoof.
