Good news, voters!

If you need a ride to get to your local polling station on the day of B.C.'s 2020 election, you'll be able to board a bus at no charge.

BC Transit says all services in Prince George will be free on Saturday, Oct. 24 as residents will head to the polls to vote on who they would like to see in the provincial legislature for the next term.

As COVID-19 continues, transit users are being asked to wear a face-covering on local buses, as per BC Transit’s mandate on Aug. 24.

For more information, you can visit BC Transit's Prince George page.

Meanwhile, residents choosing to vote in-person during the election, taking place in the era of COVID-19, will be doing so as early as tomorrow (Oct. 15) for advanced voting.

Ballots can be cast at several stations in the city's two electoral districts between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. through until Oct. 21.
