A Prince George non-profit has fallen victim to a break-in on two vans.

Big Brother Big Sisters Prince George (BBBSPG) Executive Director Tim Bennett says the vandalism was noticed yesterday morning (July 16) when staff arrived for work.

"At first, disbelief," he says. "Then it was 'ok, how do we move forward?'."

One of the vans was a 2006 Dodge caravan, while the other vehicle was just three years old.

Both vehicles were parked at the BBBSPG office at 777 Kinsmen Pl.

There was visible evidence the vans were attempted to be hot-wired, but nothing was stolen from the vehicles.

With being a non-profit, it will be difficult for them to afford to have the vans fixed, but Bennett adds the community has come together to help them.

The vans are used to transport kids to camps as well as multiple programs.
