The 'hold and secure' has been lifted at all three Prince George schools. Duchess Park and D.P. Todd Secondary Schools as well as Heritage Elementary School are all back in all clear status.

12:36 p.m.

SD57 is now reporting that Duchess Park Secondary School is no longer under a ‘hold and secure’ and has returned to normal daily operations.

However, D.P. Todd and Heritage Elementary School are still under hold and secures due to a unrelated police matter in the neighbourhood.

12:05 p.m.

Duchess Park and DP Todd Secondary Schools and Heritage Elementary have been put into a 'hold and secure' situation.

School District No. 57 (SD57) says the incident itself does not involve the schools directly. A hold and secure is used if there is a security concern in the neighbourhood. All normal activities will continue within the school.

PrinceGeorgeMatters has reached out to the RCMP for further details.
