It’s that time of year again! Prince George’s most festive neighbourhood is getting ready to light up and shine for the holiday season.

The neighbourhoods near Upland Street, between Wilson Crescent, McKenzie Avenue and Aitken Crescent, transforms annually into a Christmas wonderland. Taking a drive or walking through Candy Cane Lane, with a hot chocolate in hand, is the perfect way to get into the holiday spirit and beat the winter blues.

Come out to Candy Cane Lane on Saturday, Dec. 1 as the community turns on its Christmas lights for the first time this year.

There will also be a Candy Cane Lane Light Up Party where everyone is invited to check out the lights and displays and then stop by 176 Aitken Cres. for more activities.

Kids can get their photos with The Grinch and Paw Patrol. There will be face painting by donation, provided by MP Make-up Artistry. Meanwhile, Curb Your Appetite will be providing tasty treats and hot chocolate.

Takozo Collies and Grooming will even have snacks for the pups so your furry friends won’t be left out!

The fun starts at 6 p.m. and everything is by donation with the funds going to support charities for families in Prince George.
