A lot of artists get a leg up because of grant money and are able to produce artwork because they have funding.

But, how do you apply for grant money in the first place and what is that process like?

These questions and more will be answered when the Canada Council for the Arts visits Two Rivers Gallery.

Staff from the Canada Council will be at the Prince George facility to provide group information sessions, as well as one-on-one consultations with individual artists.

They will be giving advice about programs at the Canada Council for the Arts, giving advice on how to prepare a grant application and understanding how the applications are assessed.

The event will be held at Two Rivers Gallery on Feb. 1.

The group session will run from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. and the one-on-one meetings will be from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. with each meeting lasting approximately 15 minutes.

If you’d like to register for the information session contact Laura Berts at laura.beks@canadacouncil.ca and if you would like a one-on-one meeting you can reserve a spot in advance by contacting Pao Quang Yeh at paoquang.yeh@canadacouncil.ca.
