As the City of Prince George prepares for a massive budget shortfall in 2021, never has it been more important for residents to participate in the city’s budget deliberations.

One of the hallmarks of the fall season at the City of Prince George is the public consultation period known as Talktober.

Along with the Citizen Budget where you can fill out a survey and let the city know what’s important to you, Mayor Lyn Hall hosts a public town hall.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the event is taking on a different format this year. On October 27 at 7 p.m., Mayor Hall will host a two-hour Talktober Town Hall on Zoom.

Residents can participate by registering on Eventbrite, to which you'll receive an email, which will provide a URL link to the Zoom meeting.

During the event, participants who wish to ask a question will be called on by staff in order.

Residents may also opt to submit a question ahead of time for possible inclusion during the event. They can email mayoradmin@princegeorge.ca or dial 3-1-1.

The event will also be streamed on the City of Prince George Facebook page.

A recording of the event will also be posted once the event has finished.
