The Thompson Rivers University Students' Union is inviting the community up to the campus for a holiday festival.

The creatively named Holiday Fest will be taking place Nov. 29, just as the university's students begin their winter break. This will be the first time the students' union holds the event, which takes place late afternoon.

It'll feature winter carnival games, free hot chocolate and free sugar cookies. One of the university's big Ponderosa pines will also get lit up during the event, and Santa will be making an appearance.

The free and family-friendly event will run from 4 to 6 p.m., with the tree lighting right at 5 p.m.

On Our Radar is just a thing we do when we're looking forward to an event or think the public should be aware of it. Think you have something for it? Email us at info@kamloopsmatters.com.
