When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade, right?

If you don't quite like making lemonade yourself, you can once again enjoy the refreshing drink at multiple Prince George establishments for the 2020 Big Squeeze on Aug. 5.

Due to COVID-19, participants in this year's competition, presented by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern BC (BIGSNBC), will be restaurants only to keep the public, partners and volunteers safe.

Registered restaurants so far (subject to change) include:

  • Mr. Mikes
  • Oakroom Grill
  • Nancy O's Restaurant
  • Betulla Burning
  • Rockford Grill PG
  • Tim Hortons
    • Ospika location
    • Massey location
    • Downtown location
    • Central location
    • Ferry location
    • College Heights location

Last year, AiMHi has crowned the champion.

Tim Hortons won the 'best restaurant' category, while the Prince George Chamber of Commerce and Blake Productions tied for 'best testing.'

Previous winners are:

  • 2018 - AiMHi
  • 2017 - AiMHi
  • 2016 - Spruce Credit Union
  • 2015 - Spruce Credit Union
  • 2014 - Integris Credit Union
  • 2013 - 94.3 the GOAT and Country 97FM

Proceeds this year will go directly back to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern BC.

Funds help cover costs of operating programs, activity supplies, transportation if needed, snacks, support for 1:1 matches and group programs.
