Yes, you can expect to see more black smoke coming from east of the city next week.

But don't worry, it's not from a wildfire!

The Prince George Airport Authority (PGAA) says there will be two more training sessions for firefighting on Monday (May 27) and Tuesday (May 28).

Local residents, as well as passengers departing and arriving into YXS, should not be alarmed.

Flames are under tightly controlled conditions and are not threats to the surrounding environment or properties nearby.

The PGAA explains training is part of annual fire certification for Prince George Airport rescue and firefighting staff.

Sessions are set to begin around 1:30 p.m. both days.

This follows a training session that took place Wednesday morning (May 22).
