Prince George Mounties are investigating a suspicious incident involving a white van and a man who reportedly followed two children in College Heights.

It happened around 4:45 p.m. on Sept. 1, according to a police press release.

“Police were advised that a 16-year-old girl and an 11-year-old boy were followed by a man in a white van in the St. Mark Crescent area. Both children ran to a residence known to them and reported the incident," states the release.

Officers attended the area and made patrols for vehicles matching the description, but were unable to locate it.

The van had an "N" sign on the back. The make and model of the vehicle, as well as the licence plate number, are unknown.

The driver is being described as a South Asian male, approximately 35 to 40 years old with a slim build.
