If you hit up the Boston Pizza on West Central Street in Prince George tomorrow (Nov. 14), your server may not be who you expect.

From 5 to 9 p.m., local Mounties and Special Olympics B.C. athletes will be serving customers as part of the inaugural Cops, Pops and Pizza campaign. They'll also be collecting donations and raising awareness for the Special Olympics.

“We are proud to help these athletes pursue their dreams, gain self-confidence and lead healthy lives,” says Scott Jarvis, a Boston Pizza marketing manager, in a press release.

This is the event's first year, with more than 25 Boston Pizza locations taking part. The participating PG storefront is located at 102-841 West Central St.

The Cops, Pops and Pizza campaign is in addition to the Law Enforcement Torch Run. The run is "a global movement dedicated to helping Special Olympics athletes experience acceptance, achievement and admiration through sport," notes a press release.
