Well we got more snow today, which means it’s time for some more plowing.

City crews will be back in action clearing priority one and priority two routes at 8:30 p.m tonight (Jan. 6) because of today’s continuing snowfall.

These operations, including sidewalk clearing and the spreading of de-icing material and fractured rock on priority hills and intersections, are expected to continue during day, afternoon and night shifts for the next few days.

Crews will be clearing downtown routes tonight and are expected to continue clearing them during the night shift on Monday.

This weekend, workers completed clearing all priority one, two, and three routes which is nearly 700 km of roads and 200 km of sidewalks, following last weekend’s snowfall.

The city is asking drivers to plan accordingly on their morning commute and drive with caution at all times around road crews and equipment.

Check out the city’s website for more information on snow and ice control operations including information on winter parking, priority routes, and how to submit a request for service.
