Get ready for a cold start to the weekend.

It’s going to be a cloudy day with a high of just 7 C. Tonight, temperatures will drop to -1 C, so be prepared to defrost your vehicle’s windows Saturday morning.

Friday evening will also see a 30 per cent chance of rain showers or flurries.

Environment Canada says the average temperature for Sept. 14 is 16.7 C. Since our high is only 7 C today, it’s safe to say we're fairly below average.

It's time to bundle up and think of warmer days.
