Prince George residents are being asked to avoid a section of Spruce Street.

RCMP have closed the road between 17th Avenue and 20th Avenue as they respond to an undisclosed incident.

Cpl. Sonja Blom confirms the closure while police conduct their investigation, which is currently on-going, but says there’s no current timeline on the closure.

Readers tell PrinceGeorgeMatters people have been evacuated from their homes and have been asked to wait until police are done.

Police are asking the public to stay away from Spruce Street for the time being.

We will have more information as it becomes available.
