Suspect arrested after armed robbery in Prince George

This morning (May 22) Prince George RCMP received a report of a possible hold-up alarm at a business on 20th Avenue near Vine Street.

The report came in at 8:15 a.m. and multiple front line officers immediately attended the area. Initial indications were that a lone male entered the business with a blunt weapon and demanded cash before fleeing on a bike.

Police say no injuries were reported. But a short time later, officers were able to locate and arrest a 23-year-old Prince George man believed to be responsible for the armed robbery.

Police say the arrest was made in the parking lot of a mall located on the corner of 15th Avenue and Victoria Street.

Officers remain in the area gathering evidence. Police say this investigation is in its early stages and more information may be provided as it becomes available.
