Tattoos can have many different meanings to each person and one Prince George studio will ink with purpose this weekend.

The Wandering Panda Tattoo Studio will be hosting a Flash Day on Sunday (April 28) to raise awareness and money for mental health and addiction while supporting the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation Spirit Day.

The foundation is raising money for a new calming room at the University Hospital of Northern B.C. (UHNBC) to help those with mental health struggles.

For the flash day, the Fifth Avenue business will open at 10 a.m. and 90 per cent of the proceeds will go to support for mental health.

Designs for the event are simple and will range from $40 to $80 each.

The shop adds designs will be multiple use and restricted to arms and legs. Artists will be doing one design at a time to ensure people attending gets in quickly and you can sign up as many times as you want. There will be a sign-up list for those wanting to get inked.

The studio wants to fit in as many as they can for a great cause.
