It was a busy nine hours for the Prince George RCMP yesterday evening (June 12) and early this morning (June 13).

Three incidents of property-related crimes took places between 7:15 p.m. Wednesday night and 4:15 a.m today in different areas of the city, with all of them ending in the arrests and charges of four men by the B.C. Prosecution Service.

The reports are as follows in chronological order:

HERITAGE AREA

RCMP arrested 26-year-old Donald John Peregoodoff, who is ‘well-known’ to police, at a home near 1st Ave. and Claxton Cres. around 7:15 p.m. last night.

Officers responded to reports of a disturbance and during their investigation, they found the Prince George resident hiding from them and provided a fake name.

Peregoodoff was taken into custody for obstruction and police also found a forged cheque, stolen wallet, credit cards, and a passport on him related to a break-and-enter case last month in the city.

He’s been charged with the following and will be in court later today (June 13):

  • Obstruct peace officer
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000
  • Possession of break-in instruments
  • Forgery

GATEWAY AREA

RCMP arrested 22-year-old Dallas Isaac John and 26-year-old Brandon Michael Felix, both from Prince George and ‘well-known’ to police, at a traffic stop on Tamarack St. just after midnight today (June 13).

Officers received reports of theft from an unlocked vehicle on Upland Street with a total property value of over $700 and conducted patrols in and around the area.

Half-an-hour later, the Detachment’s Street Crew Unit stopped a vehicle on Tamarack with what they believed had the stolen items inside.

The items matched the descriptions and were recovered.

John and Felix face the following charges and will appear in court later today, while the driver of the vehicle, a 42-year-old woman, was released without charges.

  • Possession of Stolen Property under $5,000
  • Fail to comply with undertaking (Felix only)

HART HIGHWAY AREA

RCMP arrested 50-year-old William Ernest Parent of Prince George, also ‘well-known’ to police, on Northwood Pulp Rd. at 4:15 a.m. this morning (June 13) after being seen walking along the street in a suspicious manner.

Officers conducted a street check when they found Parent, eventually finding out he was breaching a curfew condition from a probation order he received last fall.

Police found a hammer hidden up his sleeve, which is also a breach of his probation order.

Parent has been charged with the following and will also be in court later today:

  • Fail to comply with probation (two counts)
  • Possession of break-in instruments
