Highlights from the Spruce City Men’s Fastball League (SCMFL) from the week ending on Friday (July 31).

Tuesday, July 28

  • 11 - Falcon Contracting
  • 3 - Falcon Camp Services

Pitcher Robbie Antoine was on fire once again on the mound in nabbing his third win of the shortened 2020 season.

  • 7 - Sibola Electric Royals
  • 3 - Freshii Hitmen

The only home run of the night, once again, went to Norm Linton for his Royals’ team-leading third of the season.

He’s averaging one ball over the fence per game thus far, while also recording his second win on the hill.

Wednesday, July 29

  • 7 - Falcon Camp Services
  • 6 - Sibola Electric Royals

The nightcap win on Tuesday (July 28) didn’t carry through into the next for the Royals as Falcon Camp Services prevailed in the tight contest.

Chad Ghostkeeper out-pitched Linton en route to his first victory of 2020, while the only dinger of the evening came off the bat of Levi Heathcliff for the Royals.

  • 14 - Prince George Grays
  • 3 - Freshii Hitmen

The Grays’ 2020 SCMFL debut resulted in a runaway victory.

Jimmy Haviland clobbered a grand slam over the Spruce City Stadium wall to help his team pull away from the Hitmen, easily giving Joel Walky the win on the mound.

Thursday, July 30

  • 14 - Falcon Contracting
  • 1 - Freshii Hitmen

Falcon Contracting’s undefeated record reached four wins following their 13-run win Thursday night.

The Hitmen are still looking for their first win of 2020 after giving up 28 runs in two games this week, 14 runs in back-to-back tilts.

  • 6 - Sibola Electric Royals
  • 0 - Prince George Grays

The Royals salvaged its on-run loss Wednesday by shutting out the newbies to close out the SCMFL’s second week of action.

  • 4-0 = Falcon Contracting
  • 3-2 = Sibola Electric Royals
  • 2-2 = Falcon Camp Services
  • 1-1 = Prince George Grays
  • 0-5 = Freshii Hitmen
