It's now been 29 days without any newly recorded COVID-19 cases in the Northern Health Authority.
Today (July 9), Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry announced B.C. has recorded 20 new cases in the past 24 hours, bringing the total to 3,028.
Northern B.C. has not seen a case since June 9, with the total staying at 65.

There are 175 active cases, 17 people in hospital being treated for COVID-19 and four in critical care, along with 2,667 recoveries.
Henry says there have been no new deaths in the province, which keeps the total at 186.
Across B.C., there are 982 COVID-19 cases in Vancouver Coastal, 1,596 in Fraser Health, 133 on Vancouver Island and 201 in the Interior. Dr. Henry also announced 51 cases of B.C.'s total are people that live outside the province.
Seniors' long-term care facilities have started submitting plans to the government to show how they intend to allow residents to have visitors while keeping everyone safe.
Since B.C. Health Minister Adrian Dix announced on June 30 that the government would start accepting these plans, 61 of the 681 homes in the province have submitted them, he said July 9. He did not elaborate on how many of the plans would be approved.
Approved plans mean that visitors could start to be allowed into the homes starting as early as next week.
Dix in June announced $165 million in new funding for up to three new full-time staff per home to oversee the visits and train visitors on how to wear protective equipment. He also announced that the government would spend $26.5 million to subsidize the homes for extra costs endured during the pandemic, for items such as hand sanitizer and masks.
The plan to allow visitors is contingent on B.C. continuing to record a relatively low number of new COVID-19 cases.
