High-nine for Prince George trampolinists

Local athletes tumble twice to top of the podium in Kamloops

The Prince George Gymnastics Club had a strong outing at a trampoline event this weekend.

The Kamloops Gymnastics-Trampoline Club (KGTC) Invitational and Second Provincial Cup saw nine athletes in the competition, two of which jumped their way to multiple medals.

Connor Achtemichuk and Aaron McLeod each earned two pieces of hardware in their respective divisions.

The medallists are as follows (in alphabetical order):

GOLD

  • Connor Achtemichuk = L1 Men’s Double Mini-Trampoline
  • Mataya Auxi = L1 13+ Women’s Tumbling

SILVER

  • Connor Achtemichuk = L1 Men’s Tumbling
  • Semaya Kosowan-Pyke = L1 13+ Women’s Double Mini-Trampoline
  • Harling Koughan = L3 Men’s Double Mini-Trampoline
  • Aaron McLeod = L1 Men’s Double Mini-Trampoline

BRONZE

  • Caleb Emon = L3 Men’s Double Mini-Trampoline
  • Jude Ledinski = L2 Men’s Double Mini-Trampoline
  • Aaron McLeod = L1 Men’s Trampoline

The next stop for Prince George gymnasts is in Abbotsford starting tomorrow (March 20) until Sunday (March 24) for the Twisters Invitational.
